Welcome to Bird Sounds of Michigan!
We moved to the Upper Peninsula in May 2019. I have a decent collection of North Carolina bird sounds. Now, I am hopefully going to build a good Bird Sounds of Michigan collection.
Recording Bird Sounds
At the moment, I use a Tascam Dr-o5 for recording and Audacity to edit. Lastly, I upload the files to eBird.
Because I currently have a limited collection I am posting them in list form, after which I will begin building pages for each taxonomic group. The menu at the top of this page will begin to operate.
Besides posting recordings of birds, I also add in photos of birds. The photos are taken by me or if I lack that particular species, I use a public access image from Macaulay.
Follow my birding adventures at TwoTalons Up – Facebook and Twitter.
Hope to meet you soon on the trail.
Brian
note – accompanying photos are mostly Michigan based, taken by me unless otherwise noted when I use public-access images from Macaulay.
